A milestone has been passed for power tool giant MILWAUKEE® as building works on its new state-of-the-art training centre at Westcott Venture Park has reached practical completion on Building 1030.

MILWAUKEE® parent company Techtronic Industries UK Ltd (TTI) has singed a 10-year lease on the 13,250 sq ft industrial development with Westcott owners PATRIZIA Hanover Property Unit Trust.

The building has been successfully delivered by Milton Keynes-based contractor Parkway Construction, with construction now complete. MILWAUKEE® has taken possession and is currently undertaking an internal fitting out programme, with the company aiming to be fully operational by September 2025.

As an industry-leading manufacturer of Heavy-Duty Power Tools, Accessories, Outdoor Power Equipment, Hand Tools, Storage and Personal Protective Equipment for professional users worldwide, MILWAUKEE® leads the industry in both durability and performance. With an unwavering commitment to the trades, MILWAUKEE® continues to lead with a focus on providing innovative, trade-specific solutions.

The new facility will feature state-of-the-art training rooms and modern meeting spaces, serving as the premier MILWAUKEE® training and experience centre in Britain. The centre is designed to upskill around 300 employees by providing hands-on experience with an extensive range of power tools, accessories, and safety equipment specifically tailored for the construction industry. The facility will host team meetings and offer customers and contractors opportunities to engage with and experience their comprehensive product range.

MILWAUKEE® will also utilise the outdoor space opposite the building to test their range of outdoor power equipment, which includes sustainable, battery-operated products as alternatives to traditional petrol-powered and corded tools. This range features equipment such as lawn mowers and chainsaws, enabling users to efficiently cut grass and timber whilst promoting environmentally friendly practices.

Whilst MILWAUKEE® geographical focus was historically North America, the brand expanded into Australia and Europe between 2001 and 2002, before being acquired by TTI in 2004. TTI is a leading manufacturer and supplier of home improvement and floor care products, employing over 16,000 people globally. The MILWAUKEE® business has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, with headcount having trebled. MILWAUKEE® tools, consumables and PPE were utilised throughout the construction process, from initial groundwork through to the final stages. Their innovative battery technology helped reduce trailing cables, eliminated the need for petrol, and minimised jobsite emissions during the build.

Dan Stringer, Head of Training at TTI, said: "We are delighted to have secured our training base at Westcott and look forward to collaborating with businesses across the Park. Our commitment to building partnerships remains at the heart of everything we do.”

Nigel MacKenzie, Development Manager at Westcott, said: "Westcott's strategic central location makes it an exceptional hub for training facilities. Completing this deal demonstrates our continued ability to attract premier multinational tenants and marks another exciting milestone in the Park's development journey.”

Joanna Kearvell, Director at Chadler Garvey said: “We’re proud to have supported PATRIZIA in securing this exciting pre-let to Milwaukee. Their new training hub is not only a fantastic addition to Westcott Venture Park but also a testament to the Park’s growing reputation as a centre for innovation and skills development. We’re delighted to continue playing a role in helping the business community here thrive and expand.”
